TaeKwon-Do

Since TaeKwon-Do is an art of self-defense which aims at the noble moral rearmament, high degree of intellectual achievement, graceful techniques, and beauty of physical form, it can be considered as a part of one's daily life, just as are breathing and thinking. As the founder of Taekwon-Do, I would like to define philosophy, principles, and purposes so that these might be applied to bring about the flowering of morality, beauty, and power in harmony with the immortal spirit.

General Choi Hong Hi created, developed, and introduced the art of TaeKwon-Do in 1946. ( Which is now known as the Republic of Korea)

  3. The way you move your body in different positions and Depends on what kind of skills. We get taught from defending with are hands an feet and get taught by using weapons like knifes, swords, and a long bamboo stick called a Bo-staff. We learn how to defend from them and stuff.

Taekwon-do had always been there to help you whether needing to defend yourself or just needing more knowledge About things you love.

  4. Taekwon-do is the foot hand and the way of life. Meaning you can use your fists and your feet and still make the motions normal motions u have ever done in real life.

For example a Walking stance is exactly like your walking just stopping and adding angles to your feet for the balance.

  6. I have learned a lot from this book, from beginning to end. Teaching the basics and also the advanced stuff. A black belt is a whole new world....being there makes you want to push yourself and the people around you. because if your better then everyone there will be no challenge for you. so your responsibility is keeping everyone going. This is my tkd bible, i am reading this to expand myself in the history and knowledge of the moves and just of how it was originated and who founded tae kwon do and where.

  7. This book teaches people the way on how to do things properly. Also, teaches people knew moves and how to do things the way that wont hurt them. Tae-Kwon-do is a sport that helps not just you and your physical athleticism but also helps you entirely fulfill your dreams one day. Because if you get mugged on the side of the street and don't know anything about self-defense then yo are pretty much screwed. But even the people that do know some things and know them correctly can be killed. Let's just say.....Would you rather now something and might be able to keep your self safe and not get killed or would you not no anything and die right then and there? Well I would choose the first one because knowing things makes someone more confident about themselves.

  9. I have finally learned in my years of training that you don't need to be so perfect and try to get points in fighting you need to be precise and make the moves hit and strong as possible. Walk into the ring, do a face kick as hard as possible. Hopefully it knocks them out and you will be done the math and moving onto the next round with a new competitor! As long as your moves are clean in the black belt world then you may do what ever you want except hands to the head.

(That was supposed to be from me but I was somehow signed into TJ's account.)
