This novel is the first Sherlock Holmes book that I have read. As far as I’ve read I am fairly impressed with his writing. Doyle is an excellent writer when it comes to his dialog. Although A Study in Scarlet this was the first Sherlock Holmes novel that Arthur Doyle published. It is a very compelling story that intertwined two murders and one murderer. Although during the story it leads me to believe that the killer was someone completely different then who he actually was.
