The Great Gatsby is the book I have been reading for history. I'm reading it because this is the book he recommended to me and gave me to read.So far I find it a little dull, but its not bad. This is what the back cover says: This is the definitive, textually accurate edition of a classic of the twentieth century literature, The Great Gatsby. The story of the fabulously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan has been acclaimed by generations of readers. But the first edition contained a number of errors resulting from Fitzgerald's extensive revisions and a rushed production schedule. Subsequent printings introduced further departures from the authors words. This edition based on the Cambridge critical text, restores all the languages of Fitzgerald's masterpiece. Drawing on the manuscript and surviving proofs of the novel, along with Fitzgerald's later revisions and corrections, this authorized text- the Great Gatsby as Fitzgerald intended it.

  1. Dear Matilda,
The Great Gatsby is one of my favorites- I love Fitzgerald's use of language. But it is a book about shallow people, so it's not too deep ;)... which I also find interesting. I hope you like it.
