Secrets and Shadows by Shannon Delany

Nothings simple when you run with werewolves. Jessie Gillmansen thinks she's seen it all, but her eyes are about to be opened to even more danger and a reality far more paranormal than she's ever suspected. Thanks to Jessie's starting revelation about the Rusakovas' mother, the group's choices become harder--and trust is more important than ever. But the dramatic change Pietr's going through may shake the trust he's built with Jessie to its very foundation. As the broken Rusakova family struggles to come together to face what may be their greatest challenge, the people Jessie believed were normal show themselves to be much, much more.........

  1. I have tried to read this book a few times, and just couldn't find myself to be drawn in to the book in the past, but I don't think I gave it a big enough chance. I have not re-started this book yet, but to be honest, I am very curious to see what goes on past my previous knowledge of the book last time I read it.

  2. This sounds like a good mix of fantasy and horror, what do you think?

  3. This definitely seems like an interesting book. The way it is described, It almost sounds like it is a second book to a series. But I am assuming its not?

  4. Alexis, I'm glad you're trying it again; sometimes we're just more (or less) ready to read a particular book than at other times.

  5. The way the book is started implies that it is not a sequel. Though it is a series an in the beginning it seems as if they are talking about some stuff that is not fully described in the book, so maybe.

In response to Gordens blog, yes, it does seem that way, though the beginning is seeming to go very slow in grabbing my attention even now.

  6. I am still not drawn to this book. i think i am going to start a new book now. I am deciding to choose a different book simply because the beginning is going too slow and I want to get into something that is going to catch my attention right off
