Star Wars Tales From The Mos Eisley Cantina Edited By Kevin J. Anderson

Sixteen stories from the most infamous cantina in the universe. By some of today's leading writers of science fiction.

Ina a far corner of the universe , on the small desert planet of Tatooine, there is a dark, nic-i-tain-filled cantina where you can down your favorite intoxicant while listening to the best jazz riffs in the universe. But beware your fellow denizens of this pangalactic watering hole, for they are cutthroats and cutpurses, assassins and troopers, humans and aliens, gangsters and thieves.

  1. I've already read a few of the short stories out of this book and I enjoyed them. So I chose to read it as an in between book for when I need to take a break from the Name of the Rose

  2. As far as the stories that I have read already. They are all quite similar even though they were from different authors because they were all final edited by the same person. Also all of the star wars books are from an assortment of authors, and I find that those all fit together fairly well.

  3. As I have been reading this book I have realized that it shows the perspective of the citizens of the galaxy very well. It takes the views of everyday "people" and how they interacted with the others.

  5. I am reading this and The name of the rose at the same time. I think that they are working well together just because they are really different from each other. This makes it easy to not confuse the two stories.

  7. This sort of sounds more like a fan fiction or one of those "choose your own adventure" things. Is this the case? Also, does this have the same characters from, like, Star Wars or are these new characters?

  8. All but the original stories from George Lucas are really just well done fan fictions. In fact allot of the star-wars stories and universe has been fan made. It's not necessarily a choose your own adventure type story its just a compilation of many different stories, or points of view throughout the universe. All of the characters that were in the original series are in the universe that all of these take place they just aren't focused on in all of the books. In some cases they either aren't even born or they are dead, because the timeline of all these books varies greatly.
