The Phantom Coach by Amelia B. Edwards
The Tapestried Chamber by Sir Walter Scott
The Apparition of Mrs. Veal by Daniel Defoe
The Empty House by Algernon Blackwood
Afterward by Edith Wharton

Hitch a ride in "The Phantom Coach" - the guy beside you may not be a very lively companion, but then....he's been dead for nine years! Or, spend a night alone in "The Tapestried Room"- we guarantee you  won't be alone for long...

But don't stop there-be sure to meet all the ghosts, phantoms, and assorted "things" lurking within this collection of Famous Ghost Stories.

  1. I haven't started reading the book yet, however, I like ghosts and stuff and anything that can help me figure out if they are real or not…I will most likely like.

I don't like the books that are just fake stories and that are trying to just scare you. I like true facts when it comes to ghosts and demons, but I like fantasy when it comes to anything else on the face of planet Earth.

    1. I like ghosts because they are dead. The thought that someone has been dead and is now alive...ish. I also like to think about how people have apparently seen them, yet some haven't.

If the ability to see ghosts is a skill, a special talent or if you develop it because someone has died or someone else relates to you in some way.

There's also equipment that can be used in finding ghosts or hearing or whatever they use it for. I don't understand how people can't believe in ghosts because there's all that equipment and everything which is used in ghost hunting or ghost searching. Why would someone make a million dollars in equipment for something that may or may not be real?

But, people have their opinions so they can think what they want and I can respect that...even though i don't like to at times...

  4. Have you read other ghost stories that you've found interesting? Did they involve people getting frightened by them or were they just about different ghosts in different haunted houses?

    1. I have read other ghost stories. They were pretty much just ghosts in haunted houses. That's it. Naturally, the people who lived in the haunted house were kind of freaked out but that was it. Nothing interesting.

  5. I didn’t even begin reading the book because I found a new book. The new book I’m reading is about pirates and Captain Morgan and other stuff like that.
