Maximum Ride, The Angel Experiment

Do not put this book down.
I'm dead serious.
Your life could depend on it. I'm risking everything by telling you-but you need to know. --Max

Her full name is Maximum ride. And the girl can fly. In James Patterson's blockbuster series, fourteen-year-old Maximum Ride, better known as Max, knows what it's like to soar above the world. She and all the members of the "flock"--Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman and Angel--are just like ordinary kids--only they have wings and can fly. It may seem like a dream come true to some, but their lives can morph into a living nightmare at any time...like when Angel, the youngest member of the flock, is kidnapped and taken back to the "School" where she and the others were experimented on by a crew of wack jobs. Her friends brave a journey to blazing hot Death Valley, CA, to save Angel, but soon enough, they find themselves in yet another nightmare--this one involving fighting off the half-human, half-wolf "Erasers" in New York City. Whether in the treetops of Central Park or in the bowels of the Manhattan subway system, Max and her adopted family take the ride of their lives. Along the way Max discovers from her old friend and father-figure Jeb--now her betrayed and greatest enemy--that her purpose is save the world--but can she?

  1. I love this book, I can read it a million times and never get bored. There's action and adventure, and the conflicting and confusing emotions between Max and Fang. It has a heartfelt story of a group of family like friends enclosed in an exciting story of action. This series is my all time favorite, I suggest it to everyone!

  2. This book seems really interesting. This book seems like something that had never been explored. The plot seems new and fresh. Can you elaborate on this more?

  3. Okay, so there were six children taken from there homes when they were newborns and had avian (bird) DNA grafted into them. So now there 98% human, 2% bird--they have wings, air sacs, light hollow bones, super fast, and super strong. They also have special powers, such as being able to hear others thoughts or going invisible. Jeb, a whitecoat from the secret lab, stole them away and put them in hiding. Two years later, Jeb dissapears. Then again two years later, Erasers (mutant wolf hybrids) find them and kidnap Angel, the youngest member of their flock. Now the flock is out to save Angel and find more information about their background.

  7. I am now reading this book. And just from reading the back and the first few chapters, I can say that this book sucks you in really nicely. I was pulled in right from reading the back of the book. I like how it continues to warn you about reading this book, and you know us humans, when someone says not to do something, what do we do? We do it. I really like the strategy that the author used to make you really want to read this book.
