My side of the mountain by jean craighead george,

Sam gribley is terribly unhappy living in New york city with his family, so he runs away to the catskill mountains to live by himself. With only a pen knife, a ball of cord, forty dollars, and some flint and steel, he intends to survive on his own. Sam learns about courage, danger, and independness during his year in the wilderness, a year that changes his life forever.

This book was great i love how sam was so resourcefull, and adventurous please read it!

  3. It's funny seeing how I first read this book then I recommended it to Kurt, who (to the best of his knowledge) recommended it to Gordon. Now Gordon is recommending it to more people. It's sort of gone in a circle!

  4. I also really liked this book. There's 2 or 3 other books that relate back to thit one; and there just as good! I'd read them too if you liked that one.
