City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

ERCHOMAI, SEBASTIAN HAD SAID.

I am coming.
Darkness returns to the Shadowhunter world. As their society falls apart around them, Clary, Jace, Simon and their friends must band together to fight the greatest evil the Nephilim have ever faced: Clary’s own brother. Nothing in the world can defeat him — must they journey to another world to find the chance? Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world changed in the sixth and last installment of the Mortal Instruments series!

  1. I have liked this book so far. It is significantly darker than the other book, it loses some of the comedy and focuses on the story.

  2. A lot more characters died in this book. this made it seem darker and more serious than the others.

    1. Do you enjoy when a series gradually becomes darker? I feel they start off with humor to drag the reader into the series, and once they have them they get more serious from there. Do you agree?

    2. Getting darker makes sense, as in a lot of stories I read, the villain is getting more powerful. I think some books, like harry potter, do it very well.

  3. How do you feel about the characters? Are any of the characters dark like the book?
