Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder

Wolves and panthers and bears roamed the deep Wisconsin woods in the 1860's. Still Laura Ingalls' father preferred to live miles away from the nearest neighbors. So Pa built a snug cabin for Ma, Laura, Marry and Baby Carrie. Pa hunted and trapped and farmed. Ma made her own cheese and sugar. All night long,l the wind howled lonesomely, but Pa played his fiddle and safe, keeping the family safe and cozy.

This is a great book so far. It is interesting and detailed!

  2. Hi, Kahla,

I'm glad you love this book so much! I would have liked to read these books when I was your age, but I didn't even know they existed. Maybe they didn't; I'm pretty old! :)

    Thanks,
    Missy

  3. Why is it that Laura is your favorite character? IS it because she is similar to you, or is it because she is just an interesting person?

  4. She is just interesting, and IF I could I'd want to be her.

  5. To me life sounded a little exciting. I want to live in their time now. But I wouldn't want to give up the Xbox 360.;)- Making butter, making jams and jellies, and petting horses all sound interesting to me!
