Inheritance by Christopher Paolini

This is the 4th book in the Inheritance series. Previous to this I read the first three books then stopped. I knew the 4th one had come out, but for some reason I did not get my hands on it and read it. AS i recall I hardly finished the 3rd one. Now I have given in, and I am enjoying this book very much. Thanks Dustin for letting me borrow your copy.

  1. I have gotten to about page 50 in this book, so far, so good. I've seen many interesting plot changes, some good, some bad.
I've also noticed that it been so long since I read the third one, I'm sometimes having trouble remembering terms and important plot twists. If I stop and think about what I just read most of the time, the information will come back to me. Sometimes I really can't remember what happened in the 3rd. For example, Glaeder the dragon gave Eragon and Saphira the "heart of hearts". I really can't remember when he gave it to him or why. I also can't remember how Oromis died, but I'm pretty sure he did. Either way, the story is still fun, and I really Enjoy reading it.

  2. That sounds good, Hunter. I always figure that the author has to write the sequel so that anyone who hasn't read an earlier one can still understand it, so I like your perspective on that. Did you finish the book you were reading before?

    Thanks,

  3. Yes, I finished King Leopold's Ghost.
With this book, you really have to read the entire series. It is a good book, but you just really have to know the information from the previous books. Like I said before, there's a lot I really don't remember from the previous books, and it really does make reading this book more difficult. Either way, I will persevere and get through it because it is a really good story.

  4. Hi, Hunter-
That's interesting; as I mentioned, most series/sequels include enough information for people who haven't read earlier books to understand them. Maybe I'll have to try reading one of Paolini's books, despite my lack of love for sci-fi ;).
    Thanks,
    Missy
