Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone

This is the first book in the Harry Potter series. This is when Harry finds out he's a wizard, goes to Hogwarts, learns magic etc. You all know this already. We've all read the book or seen the movie.

  1. These books never get old no matter how many times you read them for some reason. I really don't like Harry and I had always wish Fred and George, Hagrid, Dumbledore or one of them had been the main character. I really think J.K Rowling should write a first person view of Harry Potter or write some more books, using another characters point of view. What would really be cool is the life of Tom Riddle (Voldemort) his childhood years, when he started becoming Voldemort. It shows a bit about him but he should have his own book. The same goes for Dumbledore. A whole life history of Dumbledore would be a fascinating piece of Harry Potter.

  2. This book always confuses me in the order of events. Especially when it's nearing the end, when everything happens realllllllly fast. It is still a great book. I am still against Harry Potter. Oh and another thought. If Snape is on Voldemorts side , and Quirell has Voldemort on the back of his head. When Quirells trying to jinx Harry's broom and Snapes trying to save Harry, how come Voldemort who leached onto the back of Quirells head, doesn't realize that Snapes not on Voldemorts side? Does anyone have an ideas? My best guess is that Snape pretends not to know that Voldemorts on the back of Quirells head. This way he can trick Voldemort into believing that he was trying to stop Quirell from killing Harry so Voldemort could kill him.
I like how Quirells hardly mentioned at all until the end, like he's a sub character the whole time then BANG! it's Quirell all along!

  3. Harry Potter is so dumb. I don't get how they don't realize that Snapes not the bad guy, where he saw Nicholas Flemmels name, and where his intelligence went.
Also if Dumbeldore knows that Quirells evil and that Voldemort is going after Harry... WHY ON EARTH DOES HE LEAVE TO SEE NICHOLAS FLEMMEL!!!??? But really, he could have gotten rid of Quirell easily! swish of the wand and POOF, gone. He could have prevented Harry from getting hurt.

  4. I've noticed another thing. If Dumbeldore wanted to see Nicholas Flemmel, why couldn't he just apparate there? Then he could've gotten back in time to save Harry.
I think he wanted to give Harry a chance to prove that he was worthy of defeating the Dark Lord when he was a baby. Someone PLEASE comment on this blog so we can get a conversation going. Or at least post something on the blog so we can get a conversation going about what ever that is.
