vermont the state with the story book past

The book is almost over in the last chapter they were talking about slavery and that there there was a underground tunnel that slaves went through to safety and there was a house that had a room above the kitchen and that's were the slaves lived.

    How are you finding this book as we get to the end of it? I think it is getting a little boring. At first, when it was talking about natives and the geology of VT, I though it was quite good. Now, not so much so.
