I'm liking the story so far, hamlet does seem like a real human going insane. It seems like how a real human would react to the circumstances.
ReplyDeleteFirst: I like the story and plot, but not the writing. Apart from it being written in a sometimes illegible fashion, the amount unnecessary content is little more than filler, and can get annoying. The story is nice though, a murder, a madman, a ghost and a romance all make for an exciting tragedy.
ReplyDeleteSecond: I think that Hamlet is an acceptable character, he is not super-human (sometimes like other protagonists), he responds normally to events, and has the proper reaction to dilemmas. Other than that, though, I find him predictable and sometimes boring. As for bad or good, he neither, only a troubled son seeking vengeance on his father.
Hamlet is a great story so far I like how all the different characters add something to the story. I think Shakespeare is a great writer and I have a feeling that he liked to use big words in life.:) The story is very good so far I like how all the characters intertwine throughout the story.
ReplyDeleteFor question 2: I think Hamlet's character brings a funny sort of elements throughout the story and shows how he is slowly becoming crazy. I think he is a realistic fictional character he can be believable in some ways and in others not so much. I think he is a good person but insanity is slowly taking over and making him mad and bad, where he has the capability of being a good person.
The story is interesting and engaging. I like the way it feels like Hamlet is actually going insane.
ReplyDelete1. I'm enjoying the plot, although at times the language can be hard to decipher. I enjoy the stories that Shakespeare made even if the language is hard to read, I am liking the story with hamlet is going crazy.
ReplyDelete2. Hamlet is a very interesting character, I enjoyed how the actor from the last act that we watched portrayed Hamlets craziness. I think that he is very believable as a real person because unlike some other story's that show there characters as extraordinary. I believe that he is a good person just trying to get revenge for his father.
1. So far Hamlet has a very eloquently laid plot line. I can understand how hard creating such a solid plot line can be, so I can really appreciate the genius behind such an accomplishment. However, even though I can really appreciate Hamlet in several ways, I find it hard to keep up with what is happening due to the complex language. When I can keep up, I find I do enjoy the story.
ReplyDelete2. Hamlet is a very complex person dealing with not only inner demons but a harsh reality around him. I am not sure if he is good or bad, I do however believe he is doing very well with the hands he was dealt. Several people refer to him as being crazy, however in the course of two months his father died, his mother remarried his uncle, he sees his death father, and on top of that he had been "denied access" from the woman he fancies. Most people would have indeed had a mental breakdown. It is due to his constant conflicting and "crazy" attitude and reactions that I do indeed find him a believable character. For if he were to treat the whole situation level with a level head I would have found him even more mentally unstable than otherwise. It is due to this that he adds not only a relatable aspect but interesting events to the plot, making him a likeable character.
its ok the way they speak is confusing shakspear is interesting and hamlet is just crazyily insane and a really mean person.

ReplyDeleteHamlet has delayed killing king Claudius thus far due to wanting the man to go to hell. He was about to kill him in the confessional, but realized the man had just purged his sins, and if he died in that moment he would only be sending Claudius to heaven. So he decided to wait until he caught the man sinning in order to send him to hell.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with this idea. That way Claudius will be suffering for all eternity upon his death.

ReplyDeleteI think Hamlet delayed killing Claudius because it wasn't the right time I think he wants to kill him when everyone can see him confess to killing Hamlet's father. I think I would've just killed Claudius in the confession booth so it could just be done.
