Dune by Frank Herbert

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Muad'Dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family--and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

  1. The Dune books were the first Sci-Fi that I ever read and I really enjoyed the idea of planetary exploration and different species. Do you have a favorite character? I also enjoyed the political conflicts and the drama that it created.

    1. I'd have to say my favorite character is the Duke so far. I haven't finished the book yet but plot and characters are great.

  3. He's one of the favorite writers of my friens (sorry- no key on this computer for that missing letter!) who love sci-fi. He's written such classics as The Martian Chronicles & Fahrenheit 451.
