The name of the book that you are talking about is my side of the mountain. I think that is was a good book to read if you like the wildlife type adventures. It has a lot of good tips for making food and other things.
ReplyDeleteKurt,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you think conflict is interesting. When there are problems, like a raccoon getting into his food, it's interesting, but when everything is going well, it's not so interesting.
I'm curious; how did you find this book? I really enjoyed reading it when I was in school, but I didn't know anybody still read it. Like TJ said, I enjoyed the how-to aspect of the book. I remember marveling at what he knew to do.
I also enjoyed the lack of drama. He's not really running away from a desperate situation, and he's not chased by people or things that want to kill him. An interesting declaration of freedom. Maybe we all just need our space.
