The Children's Bible

The world's greatest book, beautifully illustrated and written in a clear, simple style for children, has been approved by an editorial board consisting of leaders from the Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish faiths.

  1. The verbiage is a little below me, but that is entirely what I expected. It serves the purpose of my inquisition, to provide a loose background for which to base my atheism. Instead of just believing in something for the sake of justifying science, I want to know and get some understanding of what it may be like to be religious, and then base my beliefs off of that. So far, I am unchanged, however, it has been interesting read an adapted version of the earth's "greatest book".

  2. There is a lot of repetitive language in this rendition of the bible. I guess that must be due to its accessibility to a younger audience. It does make understanding it a lot easier, though, it presents the story, in all its depth, without the need to sift through the complex words to find the meaning.

  3. would you say that it is a good story, or is it just important because of the world we live in? Would you read it if it weren't such an important religious book?
