The Invisible Man By H. G. Wells

A quiet country village, a heavy snowstorm, a mysterious stranger...more than enough to rouse the townspeople to gossip and speculation. Who can he be, this suspicious-looking man who keeps his face hidden and his back to everyone?

But when the stranger finally faces them, there are more questions than answers, and more terror of the most unspeakable kind, as outrage and murder put the once quiet countryside unto the grip of an unstoppable madman.

Ultimately it is up to one man to solve the mystery and end the rampage, to reveal the identity of the faceless Invisible Man!

  1. It's an alright book. Clear, though. I'm not a huge fan of the fact that this guy is invisible but it's still entertaining seeing how the people react. I'm over half way through the book now. I hope that the person that is helping this invisible guy doesn't betray him and try to turn him in like the homeless person who "helped" him. When I read that part (the part where the homeless guy betrays the invisible one) I would have killed that poor homeless guy if I was in the book. Thankfully, I'm not in the book. The only reason I'm continuing to read this is because I want to know what happens at the end.

  2. Do you feel if the author wrote something different than a mystery or even a different story and still a mystery, would you read it?
Also who is your favorite character and why?

    1. Yeah, I think I would read it. I don't have a favorite character. I thought all the characters were kind of dull and boring. The only character that I like is the invisible man. The only reason that I like this guy is because he went through a lot so I feel bad for him.

  3. This seems a little different than other books you've posted about. What made you decide to read this book, as it appears it's not one of your favorites?

    1. I read this book because I read the title, saw the cover, and then assumed it would be good.

  4. Does this portray him as being crazy because he is invisible? or are the two for different reasons?
