  1. I feel bad for this kid because he is by himself and he is only eleven and I know that it would be scary for me to have to deal with something like that and imp 14 so I just know that he is a really brave person. I think that the author wrote this way to describe it good so people can understand it and get people to read it because it has a good hook. I like these books because they are good short readings and they are interesting at the same time. I just take my time reading so I can remember what happened in the book and enjoy it. It didn’t really mean anything to me because it’s not all real but the author makes it sound real and that what I like and I also felt bad for the kid that was at the beach when it happened. It didn’t remind me of anything but it did surprise me how the kid did so well at the beginning but I gusset he had no choice except for breaking down and staying there and getting hurt.

  3. I felt really bad for Danny he had to make some pretty hard choices in this book; he had to go out onto the beach to get to his mother at the hospital. I felt like I was there when the war was going on, I felt scared for Danny and his mother I didn’t know what was going to happen and his mother must have been really scared not knowing what was going to happen either and Danny was her only kid and she didn’t have a husband to support her either. I think that the author wrote like this to pull the reader into the story so people that are reading the story feel like they are there so they can understand how the characters felt. Honestly I liked everything about this story the way the author wrote the way the things that happened were described. I took my time reading this book because I wanted to enjoy it because it was something that I liked. This book meant a lot to me because this could happen to anyone and we are all lucky that we don’t have to go through something like that and the characters were very interesting. I can’t relate to any of this or anything that happened in this book and I hope I never can. I was surprised that Danny didn’t ever die or get trapped and I am also surprised that he got to the hospital to be with his mother.
