Wonder by R.J. Palacio

“August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school—until now. He’s about to enter fifth grade at Beecher Prep, and if you’ve ever been the new kid, then you know how hard that can be. The thing is Auggie’s just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he’s just like them, despite appearances?”

  1. This story is one that can really sound lame to some people. The story seems very ordinary, but once you begin to read it, you begin to like it. I enjoy how the author portrays all the characters, while letting you read on their life. I believe that the story is really about frendship and standing up for the people who stand up for you. It also shows the difference between betting back at someone, and teaching them a true lesson instead of one that involves violence. This book also has some childish humor in it which added character to the book. In the end, I really enjoyed this book.
