The forever king

The forever king by Molly Cochran and Warren Murphy has many main characters. At the moment, there are only two. Their names are Hal Woczniak, and Saladin. Hal used to work for the FBI, but hes practically lost him self in beer and filth. But when he meets a strange old man weird things start happening...... Saladin is in a mental health 'prison', but what will happen when hes moved out of his cell? I am reading this book because it is interesting and finds a way at tugging on all of my emotion. Mostly suspense and intrigue.

  1. Matilda, it sounds fascinating. What do you think of the two main characters, Hal and Saladin?

    Thanks,

    1. I love them! Hal is the character that easily captivates my sympathy and attention. He is like the old worn out hero that you cheer on, waiting for them to step up and save the day again. And Saladin is the character I LOVE to hate. His awesomeness quickly grabs my respect; but he's still the bad guy so..... ha-ha! They both have amazing background stories in this that tie in perfectly to the rest of the story.

  2. In the Forever King, everything is now beginning to unfold. The old man Hal had met, gave him tickets to a game show called "go fish!" The show is designed so people get the answered wrong.... and yet Hal has answered every single one, even though he never knew the information before... Also, Saladin has come one step closer to moving out of his cell.....

  3. This seems like a pretty good book. But it seems to have started off really slowly and now you are just getting into it. Or are you not that far into the book just yet? I am interested in the other characters that appear later in this book.

  6. In the Forever King, suspense is building up. Hal takes Arthur to Arthur's 'castle'. When they get there, they find old mortar partially buried and a very happy Taliesin. Once they get it out, they find and inscription; however Hal leans on it and accidentally breaks it. Hearing the sound of hooves, Hal, Arthur, and Taliesin are suddenly attacked by riders. Saladin kills Taliesin by splitting his head in half, however Taliesin somehow manages to catch the grail as Arthur throws it to him and he vanishes. Hal, trying to protect Arthur, is stabbed in the shoulder. But his action was in vain, for Saladin grabs Arthur and rides away.
in this chapter i love how new ideas and views are introduced. It makes you think one thing, but totally brings up another idea. also, the way the characters feelings are depicted make the suspense even more realistic.
