The Crucible by Arthur miller
The place is Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, an enclave of rigid piety huddled on the edge of a wilderness. It's inhabitants believe unquestioningly in their own sanctity. But in Arthur millers edgy masterpiece, that very belief will have poisonous consequences when a vengeful teenager accuses a rival of witchcraft and then when those accusations multiply to consume the entire village.

What do you think of this book? I personally really like it. I also like how its in the form of a play, that's pretty cool. What does everyone think of Miller's writing style?
ReplyDeleteDo you like how this book is written? Do you like the story line and the characters?
ReplyDeleteI kinda like it although it gets a little confusing sometimes. I also like how it is in the form of a play.
ReplyDeleteThe characters are all kind of self centered and stuck up. So I have to say that I don't like the characters at all.
ReplyDeleteI think some of the characters are kind of mysterious and some are kind of nice.
ReplyDeleteI also really like this book especially the mystery side and the evil side of it.
ReplyDeleteI love the play form, it makes the book more real and believable. The way the people are talking and the mystery also makes it seem reality.
ReplyDeletewhen we did the posters almost everyone who had a big except for hale committed some king of sin. that really brings out the evil in the story, witch i like.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was interesting how Abigail was showed up in almost every poster, I think she is the story's antagonist. She pretty much "fuels the fire" for the story.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of the test, I thought it brought back important memories about the story.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of the test, I thought it brought back important memories about the story.
ReplyDeleteI thought the test was fairly simple. It was a very good recap of everything that happened so far, it really made people think.
ReplyDeleteThe last act was very interesting. what did you all think about it?
ReplyDeleteHow about the test. It also brought back good points about the act.
ReplyDeleteI liked the last test.
ReplyDeleteAct III was pretty interesting, I wonder how Proctor, Giles, and their wife's are going to get out of this sticky mess. It seems like they're kind of doomed.
ReplyDeleteI think Giles, Proctor, and their wives will escape because Abigail and the girls will get found out and everything will work out.
