DRAGON KNIGHT
I am just starting to read Dragon Knight and it is getting really good because of one of the main characters just battled a big ferocious snake. I think this book connects to other dragon books because of all of the mystical creature you would find in other dragon books. I think these books connect to the book Eragon in a similar way.

Stephen,
ReplyDeleteIs the world of _Dragon Knight_ like our world (I mean, besides the dragons and the giant snakes)? Are the laws of the world (what is physically possible, for example) the same as our world, or are there such things as mind-reading or time travel or things like that? I ask that because parts of _Eragon_ were very realistic. The towns, the emotions, and the relations were very human. What sort of book is _Dragon Knight_?
Dragon Knight is a book that is very realistic and exciting. There are portals that can cross you to one place to another just by walking through it. People can mindspeak to one another in their minds and the towns are mostly the same as other towns.
ReplyDeleteSo you seem to read lots of book that have the word 'dragon' in it. Do you just instantly assume that it is good if the word pops up? Not that I'm saying that's a bad way of finding books.
ReplyDeleteHow many of these books have you read?
ReplyDeleteI have only read three of these books out of five and they are getting very interesting
ReplyDeleteStephen,
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued that, when you described the exotic world of _Dragon Knight_, you didn't mention dragons. How big a role do the dragons have? How do you think they influence the world? How would the book be different if there were no dragons? It sounds like with these portals and the mindspeak, it would still be an interesting story.
