My opinion of The Night The White Deer Died is really boring because there is no action and it just goes on and on but I'm not that far in to it so it could get exciting.

    Alden,

    I wonder when you will make the decision to abandon the book. How much time do you give a book? Is there something that promises it will get more exciting?

    What is going on and on? Is it description of the landscape or of the characters? Is it a lot of exposition or setting up the plot? What makes it different from other Gary Paulsen books?
