Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett
The beginning of the hilarious and irreverent series that
has more than 80 million copies worldwide, The Color of Magic is where we meet
tourist Twoflower and wizard guide Ricewind, and follow them on their
always-bizarre journeys.
I absolutely love this book. The humor is sharp and witty, while the story telling is brilliant, with incredibly entertaining characters, and a vibrant exciting world. While this book is certainly funny, there are also more complex, and enthralling subplots. This the first of about forty volumes, I certainly have alot of reading ahead of me.

ReplyDeleteWhat does the author do to make the jokes sharp and witty, is it who says it, or is it a certain point in the story when they say it?
ReplyDeleteWhat style of humor is it, is it simple jokes, or more complex? Is there anything else you like about it?
ReplyDeleteThe jokes are pretty complex. Also the plot is very good and characters are multidimensional.
