The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Bilbo Baggins was a hobbit who wanted to be left alone in quiet comfort. But the wizard Gandalf came along with a band of homeless dwarves. Soon Bilbo was drawn into their quest, facing evil orcs, savage wolves, giant spiders, and worse unknown dangers. Finally, it was Biblo- alone and unaided- who had to confront the great dragon Smaug, the terror of an entire countryside!
I have basically just started reading this book and am only a few chapters in. So far it is good and looks like a fantasy type of book. There is tons of description in it.
ReplyDeleteI agree this is a very good book and there tonnes of description in it but its not as dense as lord of the rings in my opinion.
